Insufficient Art, Insufficient Research
When is it insufficient art and when is it insufficient research? Doing artistic research makes me often think I do both, but insufficiently. It is a question, again, of being at the border between disciplines, fields and interests, and dancing with it, almost seducing it without letting it to come too close so that it pulls you too far away of that border area. It comes with embarrassing moments where an artistic researcher feels misunderstood, as if not speaking the correct language. But… sometimes, there are such moments that something happens that makes you believe again, believe in the project and its artistic research approach, crossing the borders of disciplines.
